Tany Mena ... Madagasikara

An Indri drawn from a photo I took at Andasibe where I spent hours with my young boys, trying to instill in them a love for what cannot be packaged, transported and sold as merchandise. Yeshua, Lord God of all the earth have mercy on us when we have violated the last of the wild spaces. May your kingdom come. Indri painting for Jandrich Volschenk on his 21st Birthday June 19, 2021.
Mainty sy Fotsy for Zuzette de Beer
Vohimana: Vohimana is a patch of rainforest close to Andasibe in the eastern region of Madagascar. It has some of the most amazing reptiles and frogs. Sadly the big mining companies have smashed roads through this area splintering the habitat for myriads of creatures and reducing its viability. The N.G.O. MATE, (Man and the environment) runs a community based reserve out here and people wanting to see a little of the spectacular biodiversity of Madagascar are welcome. I wanted to convey a sense of my own amazement at the richness of the creation on this awesome island.
Phantasticus: I was inspired by a trip to Saha forest camp near Anjozorobe an hour north of Antananarivo. Both the moth and the leaf-tailed gecko are wonderful beyond belief. May we have eyes to see and love the little things. And speaking of eyes...wow. For Zuzette de Beer
